FEATURED ON REDDIT > 1000+ subscribers on YouTube
Woke up Saturday July 21 2018 to discover youtube sub notifications pouring into my email. One of the subscribers I thanked told me that my Fallout 4 gameplay video had been featured on reddit and that's how I'd gotten all the new subs:
67 yr old Female Gamer Playing Fallout 4 | Under 1000 subs | 10 yr old channel featuring gameplays etc
Quite overwhelming! One of the comments was lovely, it said that I obviously hadn't gotten on the bandwagon recently to make money but that I'd been on YouTube nearly 11 years and obviously love making videos and that was my primary motive. And that's exactly how it is. I love it, it's my niche.
Going from 630 to a thousand subs in a matter of days is amazing! What a ride!
I love the Tomb Raider Lara Croft series. I've played all the games (bought a lot of them cheap on ebay) and played many custom levels (http://trle.net/) made by fans. They are amazing and some even better than the original (old) games.
I've always had a love for the mysterious and fantasy and escaping into a world of my own. When I feel stressed and I have the time, I just love to boot up my laptop and disappear into the simplicity and fun of another world.
How Tomb Raider came about for me was I bought the first Lara game in 1996 but was too ill to play it. So my 10 year old son would play and I'd sit next to him and watch. It wasn't til years later that I started playing it myself and then progressed to the complete series. Nathan McCree wrote the music for the first TR game and in April 2015 announced unreleased music from that game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuCfXs2_gXU. It was a thrill when he commented below me on this youtube video. I've come a long way from Tomb Raider in 1996 to Shadow of the Tomb Raider 2019. Where have the years gone!
I've played the Dishonored series, FarCry series, Deus Ex series,The Elder Scrolls, Fallout 3&4, Splinter Cell, Hitman, Thief, Witcher 3, a few of the Assassin's Creed games, etc.
My favourite gaming style is stealth and most of the above have that touch. I'm not real keen on full-on shoot-em-ups and even though something like Fallout 4 and the Far Cry games may seem like that, there is still a lot of scope for stealth.
Having played FarCry 4 & 5, New Dawn & Blood Dragon, I've realised my love for the franchise is turning more into mayhem and crazy shootemups.
