So Thief is finally out! I've been dying for this reboot to come out but looking at the reviews and youtube videos I'm not so sure I want to spend the money now. Maybe when it's $10 in the discount bin. Quite disappointed in the number of cons compared to the pros. Nothing of course can beat the 3 previous games. Pity it took 10 years and the demise of Looking Glass Studios and Ion Storm to make this game happen. From the NPC audio to the blandness of The City colour and narrow corridor gameplay, Garrett is not quite himself. And as for his voice, No Comment. I hope by the time I get this game my appetite will have been whetted enough to forego my caution. Til then.
Update: My youngest son ended up buying the game for me on Steam a few years after this post. I enjoyed it but it's nothing like the three earlier games in the series. Modernised and without the same creepy ambience.
